Electromagnetic flowmeter defects

Intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter can not measure the conductivity of very low liquid, such as petroleum products and organic solvents. Can not measure the gas, steam and more large bubbles containing the liquid.
General type EMF due to lining materials and electrical insulation material restrictions, can not be used for high temperature liquid; some models for too low temperature at room temperature, due to condensation outside the measuring tube (or cream) and damage insulation.
Of course, electromagnetic flowmeter also has its limitations and shortcomings

(1) can not measure the conductivity of very low liquid, such as petroleum products and organic solvents.

(2) can not measure the gas, steam and contain more large bubbles of liquid. General-purpose electromagnetic flowmeter due to the lining material and electrical insulation material restrictions, can not be used to measure the temperature and pressure of the liquid.

(3) flow rate and speed distribution does not meet the set conditions, will produce a larger measurement error

(4) When the liquid flow rate is too low, it is necessary to enlarge and measure the induced potentials of the same order of magnitude as the interference signal, and the instrument is also prone to zero drift. Therefore, the lower limit of the full-scale flow rate of the electromagnetic flowmeter is generally not less than 0.3 m / s.
